What a great glog! Your plants and pods are looking spectacular. One thing, the Naga Morich pods in the sq ft garden look kind of 7 podish. Are you sure the seeds were pure? Every Naga Morich I've grown looks more like a Bhut Jolokia only smaller and not quite as wrinkled. Just an observation, don't mean any offense.
No offense taken and thanks! The seeds are from the same source as last years which grew true. All 3 plants are producing funky pods and I wonder if the square foot garden is to blame in some way. It is an absolute jungle in there. I plant to take some pictures of ripe pods tonight using real camera. Brian is going to review one that I sent him, let's see what he says based on how well he knows Naga's. I too think they are a bit strange currently but they smell and taste right to me but I am a novice at best!

There are a bunch of "Naga Morich" running around and they're not all the same.

It seems the Dorset Naga is identifiable and can be linked to one phenotype, but I'm not sure about the Morich.  Even if it could be, there are still more than a handful by now.

Yes it is crazy what 10 seeds in a pack can do when they hit the soil. I grew way more risky stuff this year than previously but hopefully will have no issues with all the plants that provide the stable powders.

Some Of my amirllos turned out the same deformed i was trippin when i saw them dident know what that ment

Awesome stuff. My mouth hurts just looking at those 7 pots! How'd the smoked peppers turn out?

Also how's the square foot technique turning out? I'm considering doing some tightly packed gardening for 50+ plants (as many as I can fit, hoping to hit 100) to maximize my use of the space I have and hopefully prevent buds dropping at the peak of summer. I'm probably getting in way over my head lol.

Thanks for the kind words, as for the square foot garden...it is doing quite well. The plants in it are almost 2 feet taller than the plants in the ground but they do not have the same level of pods except the Naga Morich and 7 Pot White. I pruned a bunch of plants in it yesterday and will get some better pictures this weekend after the ground dries out and I can mow the jungle!

Smoked peppers are still drying, I dry at a very low temp. I have a few more pounds that I need to harvest today and plan to smoke them as well.

NIIICE!  I am on leave for the next 2 weeks and the Weber Smokey Mountain is callin my name!  I have been waiting for them to turn red before I smoke em, wanna get me a nice stock of chipotle powder.

Beautiful photos as always, and it is definitely interesting to see the sq ft gardening method working for you.  I tried it a few seasons back, but I mixed the raised bed improperly and the peppers hated it.  You are definitely not having that problem!
