Juanito, I was reviewing your glog from 2015 where you topped a tray of baccatum peppers.  I think you also stripped most of the leaves off.  How long did it take the plants to recover?  How far down the plant did you "top"?  Any chance that you could include a short video on how you topped and stripped a plant?  I looked at your videos from that time and I just saw you reviewing the growth after the cutting but not any actual cutting.  Any info is greatly appreciated!

just take some scissors and clip it wherever just make sure its atleast 6in tall. 10-12in probably better. you can strip too just clip off the leaves close to main stem.
gotta treat plant less like babies more like men who can handle themselves lol.

things are going pretty good. some trays were complete shit germination but i've moved on i guess. i started some more kinda late though lol..
the experience of starting other people bulk seed has motivated me to isolate and save my own if possible for next year. All the seed i started from myself was really good germination. All the fresh seed i got from cardi did great too. I think with vendors who do not label when their seed was harvested kinda suck. When i looked into selling seed commercially it is a requirement to put harvest date on the package... so not sure why not everyone is doing it.
 
72 cells are getting very crowded, 2 more weeks till i start selling stuff though so should be fine. I'm hitting them will full strength ferts now to see if they can put on some more growth before i ship.

testing out a couple brands, also saw a thread on rapid rooter plugs that shows they are fast, but they are more expensive.
 
Some no name brand i got off amazon are very fine, is almost just like peat.. the ones on the front middle and back left have a bit bigger particle size can actually see that they are coir.

 
What size did you buy?

I picked up some Planers Pride for no other reason than I happened to see them on the shelf. I've used the peat pellets with good results in the past and decided to give these a try next year.

I'd like to find a more successful germination technique than I've been using. Lately I've been germinating in paper towel and baggies. I've even tried Rockwool with varying success rates.

Those CARDI seeds I got from you did great. Not growing nearly as many as you though, lol. I'm growing out one or two of each and the plants look nice.

yeah they did the best out of all the seeds i got... even my own lol
 
must be because they are washed and treated with trisodium phosphate.

so my long thin red cayenes are already splitting... in the plugs... i saw a little bud on a couple of them

they work great so far! so much cheaper than other methods too

Same here, I got an Amazon Echo for my birthday, was looking to see what irrigation stuff I can add. That would make life easier. 
 
I agree, the lights were a good investment, kind of a pain to lay them out and solder all of them but well worth it.
