there is no long roots turn in circles at the bottom of the pot. this is a good sign. when i move it to bigger pot it will continue growing larger than ever.

roots branch out and i can see a lot of root hairs.  3oz cup is really good for grow pepper seedling.

That plant is quite big for such small cup,i also use similar cups(styrofoam drink cups) to start plants,my tomatoes especially. But i transplant before they are that tall mainly because they roots have outgrown and they need to be planted.

How old was it when you took it out?

I have never seen a NuMex Paradise on the CPI website. What kind of chile is it?
To be honest, i don't know.  In order to learn about pepper plants, I did grow 500 pepper varieties.  I can't remember who gave me the seeds.

Wow thats really cool, I had no idea you could get a plant that tall in such a small space.

it doesn't have root spiral.   in fact it can grow a lot taller than this because there is plenty of space for root to branch out.

Numex are the seeds developed at Mexico State University, who are (not surprisingly) most well known for their New Mexico Heritage varieties. I order my seeds directly from them, but I can't find anything they sell at the store there called "Paradise". I'm thinking it's probably an ornamental of some type.
