I actually like the stone ones a lot. Pros and cons like you pointed out, but with the wooden ones I don't like the idea of having to rebuild them every x number of years.
Yeah, and they have that great ‘old world’ look!

Nice pods showing up for you, KD!
The Naga Smokey Rainbow looks
especially awesome!

Thanks! I picked up the Naga Smooky Rainbow seeds from whitehotpeppers. The pictures on their website seem accurate. The plant has a lot of purple in it and even the blooms are a deep purple. The plant itself is just beautiful. The pods are supposed to actually be mild as far as heat goes. I'll keep posting more pictures as things move along. I think I ended up with 75+ varieties this year. Some are from last year and TBH I have no idea what types they actually are since I made the mistake of getting some of the mixed packs. Oh well, I guess as long as you learn something, have fun, and get to harvest some peppers out of the deal, everything will be okay in the end :-)

I don't know how you dipsy-doodled around the crazy weather we've had this year, but your plants look awesome. Hell, we had frost 30 days ago lol. You're gonna have a jungle in no time.

I'm going to chock it up to mostly luck with a sprinkle of research contributing to my success. haha. This was my first year doing a garden, so I was hoping that everything came out okay. My peppers are turning out better than some of my other stuff. This was my first time growing romanesco, broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts and other cold weather vegetables, but my timing for those seemed to be off so there's currently a lot of bolting going on with those.

Nice grow so far.  I have a couple of the WHP bonnets growing also.  Mine aren't looking as far along as yours.  Keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks! I'll post some pods so we can compare when mine ripen up!

Thanks! My wife made me promise to dehydrate them all if she let me grow all of the kinds I wanted to this year. I still have gallons frozen from previous years so it seemed like a reasonable request. I would like to get into doing some salsas and hot sauce, but I still don't feel like I know enough about the process to do it without messing it up.

These were supposed to be Orange Thai Peppers. I saved the seeds from my  Orange Thai Peppers last year, so my best guess is that these are either Orange Thai x Jalapeno or Orange Thai x Santa Fe Grande .
