Kenfused's 2010 Grow List

Here's a list of what I planted this year. A little ambitious, but I have learned a lot about how tricky these peppers can be to start from seeds. Some are growing in hydroponic but most of them are in soil. At one time I had nearly 200 seedlings of 20 varieties of peppers. Enough seedlings have survived that I am giving away the ones I am not keeping. No one around here seems to have the super hot peppers so I will have plenty of takers. These may not be the technical names but it's the names I got from the people I got seeds from.

Bhut Jolokia
Naga Jolokia
Dorset Naga
Naga Morich*
7 Pot Jonah
Zimbabwe Bird
White Bullet Habanero*
Gold Bullet Habanero
Habanero Mustard
Triple Hot Habanero
Black Congo
Pequin
Tepin*
Onza
Japones
Orange Thai
Orange Datil
Fatalii
Trinidad Scorpion*
Super Chiles

* Didn't survive

Most are healthy and going to make it... the Naga Jolokia and Japones seem to be the strongest i.e., more seedlings germinated and survived than the other varieties. Some were from seed companies and some were from fresh peppers I got and dried the seeds... I think the hottest fresh pepper I tried was the Dorset Naga. May have been just that pepper but I can say its the hottest thing I have ever eaten.

Looking forward to harvesting the peppers this year and trying to winter over some of these plants, and try and grow some additional ones next year.

Thanks to you all on the forum - lots of advice and tips here!

OK here are a few images of the ones I have growing, including one of (four) hydro buckets with peppers:
