I just purchased the Mexican Rocoto seeds from pepperlover.com. Great pics. How big did your plants get, and how much do you think you will harvest off of one plant? I'm planning my garden layout for next year, and I figured a couple of these next to my Giant Jalapeno plants would do good.
 
How big and how much depends on many factors but a big pot or bag for the plant to grow in is important. The turbo pube in 500 liter bag grew 3 meters high and 2.5 meters wide. A pot of 40 liter would be the minimum size if you want a reasonable harvest from the the plant. Climate, fertiliser, hours of direct sunlight are all important imo
 
nothing like a little challenge right nigel? actually it gets cold here its about 70 around here this time of year perfect for pubescens the problem is keeping them alive until fall?winter comes around for them to produce

I see that you have many varieties of pubes growing. The only ones I have on my list for next year is my overwintered monzanos and some red rocotos that I am starting now. Do you have any recommendations as to other types?

Better start them early. My Monzanos did poorly last year and only produced a few fruits in the Ohio growing season. I'm starting all pube seeds now in hopes that they produce fruit in the spring. You won't get anything in the summer heat.

I really like the P360 and Select yellow for taste P436 is another big one and a good producer.
 
The total so far 70 kg of rocotos and there are still a few more to come.
