Large Jalapenos

I found a supersized jalapeno at the local grocery so when I cut it open for poppers last night I saved the seeds. Not sure why this one was so big but maybe the seeds will produce more like it. Diameter of the pepper was approximately 3 inches...I have no idea what kind it is but worth growing. It had good heat, not a wimpy jalapeno, that's even better.

3" diameter?....dang that IS big for a Jap

OK...we demand pictures....

When I was at the store the other day, they had what I think was a Cubanelle in the Hab box and Habs in the Jalapeno box. The store guy told me "I don't know one from the other. They're all hot to me". (Walmart)

I wouldn't go much by what the box is labeled in the store. :stop:

OOOPS we ate it! It was normal length for jalapenos just fat, yes it was green so will just have to take a chance on whether seeds will grow. The worst it can do is not grow, I'm an optimist.

On another note..the neighbor's dog ran through our garden last night, broke off a golden greek pepperoncini...hubby is NOT happy. We are finishing planting so the fence is not up yet. Next time he will find a fence!!!!
