Large or small mesh pots for DWC?

Mostly affects stability, more hydroton means more stability for larger plants. For short stalky plants a 4 inch would be fine, but for 3 ft tall plants you would want 6 or 8 inch, and may still have to rig up supports for heavy producing plants. They don't restrict root growth if that's your concern.
