Hmm never had "The Legend" from CaJohn. You may also want to look into his "Krakatoa" which is just Red Savinas and Vinegar just like the Legend, but at a third the cost. He also makes another Red Savina sauce TALON, which is my personal favorite all time sauce (after Fat Kid Sauces of course :) ) - This is EXTREMELY hot for a non-extract based sauce.. Then ther's ACE, which is Red Savina based, just not as hot as TALON. Fatallie fire - Red Savina and Fatalli peppers - very hot and different taste with the Fatallis in it.

CAn you tell I like CaJOhn's stuff :D
 
i already use fatalii fire on a regular basis. im not a fan of the extracts, i thought the talon one was an extract? i guess not..thanks for the info tho!

Talon definitely does not have extract in it. It does have Fatalli as well as Red Savina. (i was incorrect above - sorry). Krakatoa looks to be on the lines of the Legencd as it is strictly a Red SAvina Sauce. Talon is worth they try, as it is excellent. I believe the CAptain carries it as well.

maybe ill give it a shot then! i really like the fatalii flavor though, and i wish more sauces had them in it..
 
Red Savina sauces

I have tried it and it is very good. However, Krakatoa and Ace I have tried and the flavor is very smokey. Melindas XXX Red Savina isn't that great either. If you are looking for a great Red Savina sauce I recommend the following

--Red Savina Garlic
--Pure Arson (Both by Mild to Wild Pepper Co.)

I am yet to try Ignite by CA John's. However, based on looks it seems similiar to the Red Savina Collector's rather than the Ace and Krakatoa.

The Legend is an awesome sauce. It is different than Krakatoa which is very similiar to Ace. The Legend is similiar to Ignite. Mild to Wild Pepper makes Pure Arson and Red Savina Garlic which is very similiar also... Krakatoa and Ace are some deviants I believe of a Red Savina Line gone wrong.
