I have heard that the bumpier the pods, the hotter they are. Is there any truth to this? I have tried to compare mine and they do seem to be hotter, but my ghosts are usually covered with so many bumps and spikes that they look like they are covered in taste buds. I had one that lit me up 10x hotter than the rest. Boy, that was a HOT one, WAY WAY hotter than most of my ghosts. I dont wear gloves when cutting them up and I like to lick my fingers when Im done because they taste so good, but that one was stupid hot. Just cutting the pepper open filled the house with eye/throat burning fumes. Here is a picture of what mine usually look like.

The seeds came to me labeled Jay's Chocolate Scorpion X.  I only had 2 to germinate and only this one that actually grew to produce fruit.  It's young yet but starting to look "gnarly".  
 
Have to wait and see what it wants to be when it grow up!

Both, actually.    The X at the end of the name like that typically means that it believed to be a cross, but the identity of the baby daddy is unknown.
