I grew some Golden Cayennes here in North Texas. I got them from Refining Fire Chiles/Jim Duffy. They taste pretty good once ripe. They had a good heat that kept the tongue/throat throbbing for about a minute before it started subsiding. They were a bit "seedy", but tasted good and had a good kick to them. They were drying quickly on the vine in the 100+ degree heat, but seeing as you're in Wisconsin, I doubt that'll be too much of an issue for you guys. Once the temperatures cooled down, that one plant started producing like mad. I just cut it down today since my growing season is almost done. It was about a 4-4.5 foot tall plant.
