looking for Thai chile info and seeds....

[font=times new roman']Hey folks. i'm interested in growing some thai chiles next year. i want some advice on which variety to grow. [/font]

[font=times new roman']what are your opinions on which are the most flavorful, most hot, most balanced, etc. What i'm really looking for is a well balanced variety with excellent flavor. heat is secondary to flavor in my opinion. [/font]

Maybe take a look at junglerain.com.au he has @least 3-4 Thai varieties. Personally for flavour prik luang and heat prik ki nu
 
I've got red and yellow Thai's for trade. I never had any yellow, but the red's are very hot and very flavorful. P.M. me with your Address if you want to trade, and let me know which ones you want. I would like some impact seeds in return.
 
Flavor is such a personal thing, but my favorite is the "Thai hot" variety---the one with the tiny pods that grow upright, sometimes sold as "Thai sun". I think it might be a _frutescens_. They're pretty seriously hot, but have a flavor that cuts through nicely, and a sharp kind of heat that works well with citrus flavors.

The standard grocery-store "Thai" peppers, which I gather are _prik khi nu_, I've started eating red rather than green. A little hotter and a lot sweeter.

I would go with pree kik nu
Has the right amount of heat but great flavor
if you dont like to much heat you can always pick them when they are green.

I have been growing this Variety for going on 3 years.
