This is so far the hottest Mexican food place I can find in the phx valley. I've been eating there for years. The Green Chili is awesome. Great heat, along with great flavor. I have never had a bad meal here, and have needed Ice cream afterwards several times. Come on Ice cream... Need a cleanse? Go to Los Dos.
The Chips are great, and the green and red salsas are good and hot.
I actually don't think they have a non spicy item on the menu. I haven't eaten everything they offer, but judging from the sweat on every one else's face I get that impression. They list non spicy options, but I don't believe it.
Every time some one tells me they know of a spicier place, I try it. Failure after failure.
The only negative to Los Dos is the drink prices. Seriously, Margaritas should never cost this much ($29) unless they are using an entire bottle of Don Edwardo or Herradura in them. Damn. It sure doesn't taste like it has a good tequila in them, just a lot of a blah tequila.
It used to not be that way, but the times they are a changing I guess.
I like the Phx location better than the Mesa one, even though Mesa is closer to me. Phx just has a better atmosphere, and just seems to have a little more depth in the taste of everything. I have yet to try the Springerville one since every time I have tried they have been closed...
