glog Marturos 2025 Glog.

Hello everyone, welcome to my 2025 Glog.
2024 was a great year for peppers we grew many new varieties with great tasting pods.

2025 is looking good so far we just got the seeds planted & on the heating mats.
A little later than last season however with LEDs we needed to start the plants later.
Last season the plants were a little root bound by plant out..

Man that GLOG picture is awesome! Nice list too. Best of luck this season!
Thanks @NJChilehead

Isn't it funny how much time we can spend on these lists? I've been working on additions and subtractions of the 2025 list since last July.
It's like a dance, back & forth adding new peppers right up to planting time. Then after seeding you are still thinking of
adding more peppers. It's a bit crazy LOL. πŸ€ͺ

I searched everywhere for Chilhuacle Rojo & finally found them, so this and Chilhuacle Amarillo are new for me this season.
Thanks! Chilhuacle Rojo was also on my list but I couldn't find it. I'll wait for your reviews at the end of the season (red and yellow) πŸ™‚
I wanted the red one because I read somewhere that it has an uncommon anise note. I've only found that note in some green annuum

noticing vinegar takes as long to make as peppers take to grow is smart to make vinegar as grow peppers as to make hot sauce preferably better perhaps weee is like the spicy alternative to wine is hot sauce blessed gardening your yields are impressive

Yes, I showed the wife this list. I am not the only crazy one out here :) NICE LIST! Course several I'm going to have to look up too!

I know no one else is still starting peppers, still. πŸ˜€ LOL
The HSH Scotch Bonnets did not come up yet after 2 weeks, sooo I planted 8 more of our Lucky Horse Shoe Farm Scotch bonnets.
Now we have 16 Scotch Bonnets, πŸ™ƒ there I did it again. I will find a market for them this year fer sure.

So far 0 fungus Gnats, 0 damp off, just healthy seedlings. I have been watering & misting with SS Garden Friendly Fungicide, for the last 3 seasons. I changed from fluorescent lights to LEDs 3 seasons ago, however I no way believe that the change in lighting was responsible for
the lack of FGs & Damp off. I believe the Organic Bio fungicides are well worth adding to your grow, they seem to work real well for us.

We have grown our plants Organically since 1972 & the thing that hobbled me most, was not having a real Organic Bio fungicide.
The FGs were a bonus I never expected however i'll gladly take it.

The Chilhuacle Amerillio & the Datil seeds did not germinate, so they will be for next season. 😞 I'm already thinking about many new peppers
for our 26 grow.

Same here, just can not stop thinking about what to grow next.

maybe try a late summer sow to see if i can pull one through winter inside my house.

seeing those hooks turn up in the morning just keeps being the best thing ever.
