Just got in from planting the garden, body not very happy, 80 plants, another 40 to go and find places for them.
Been working on meditating with my plants for 30 mins a day. Except my rose is in major need for some help.
I have all my container peppers and maters in fabric pots and air prune containers, no more plastic nursery containers in my yard. All the other peppers and maters are in raised beds or in the ground this year.
I had to put a few support stakes on several branches on my Nectarine and Peach tree as the weight was bending them like a half moon shape.
The other thing I'm working on every morning and evening this week is eating fresh blueberries and raspberries
I have 20 plus berry plants and they are yummy. My strawberries are starting to ripen as well so I'm in berry heaven this week.

Finally stopped raining! 
The sun came out today, so I went to the gardens, but it's still way to wet to do anything, other than reset some of the t-posts on the perimeter fencing. More showers tomorrow, then sun and mid-to-high-80s for the next week!

- First order of business is to top off the water tank and get my beach umbrella set up.
- Finish the raised beds, lay weed barrier, plant peas, get the onion, lettuce, bok choi, cardoon and other starts in, along with the borage, scarlet sage, cardinal flower vines and hyacinth bean vines transplanted.
- I'll take advantage of the wet soil to build an entrance arbor (that will eventually be covered with the cardinal flower vine, and
- Get the structures for the mesh hoop houses that will hold the cukes, eggplants, zucchini and beans assembled so I can fit the micromesh to them and get them set up when it's dry enough.
- After that, it's eggplant, peppers, tomatillos and tomatoes in the ground!
Hijacked 6 free 40% screens 3x3-4 from dumpster behind work and will be fastening them together for redneck shade cloth
Minor arranging of plants. Mostly to increase sunlight to a few.
Harden off a couple more and get them in pots. They are about ready im just being overly cautious since i cant replace these.

Gunna give him a few late starts/extras because he has a greenhouse and get another Chichimeca from him. The seedling i got from him last year was huge and only $5. Im picking one up by Saturday.

Got all my beds planted except for one. Tomatoes, peppers, watermelon, cucuzzi, chard, cuke, and Mexican sunflower went in the ground. Just have the squash bed left to plant.
Need to pick out which remaining peppers and eggplant to put in pots - only so much room and, as always, I germinated more than I need.
Need to interplant the beds with basil, parsley, calendula, marigolds, rosemary. Find a home for more thyme.

I had a great surprise today. Somehow i got a volunteer oregano on the ground below my deck and herb box. Its a biggun too. That spot only gets full sun until about 1pm then its nearly full shade.
Last year about the only places that had seeds were overseas. This year i have seen several more vendors in the USA. Even Google hits last year were pretty scarce.
Got my beautiful Chichimeca seedling from winecreekfarm at the farmers market. Josh grows some really great looking plants and only charges $5 for a seedling. Its closer to a plant than a seedling at almost 2ft tall. I gave him a few of my extras as a gift. He has a greenhouse so even a bit late the Mini Red should have a chance at bearing fruit.
Its too hot to finish planting today. I prefer to do it when rain is coming or overcast at the very least. Ive got 3 more ready for pots and few extras i will just have to put in the raised bed.

Shocker alert: I am only growing 4 chile plants this year.
Ok, so that could change any minute now. But for now, it's true. Everything else, at this point, is a couple eggplant, a couple tomatoes, and a whole bunch of herbs. Well, and a pineapple. And the onions that just keep coming back. Tomorrow I'll be potting between various activities. Time to get this done!
