[May 22] What are you working on this week?

Both of my over-wintered rocottos that I put back in the ground are producing pods right now and so are several of my jalapeno's. All my Aji's should start throwing out pods next month. Everything is planted for the year so nothing new happening with the exception of harvesting numerous varieties of berries daily along with some artichokes. My peach, nectarine and plum tree might be giving me some ripe fruit by this coming weekend.   :)

Almost forgot I harvested a hundred heads of garlic and my onions will soon be following within the next couple of weeks.

Just dealing with clouds and rain. We got 3 inches since the 20th and now this is coming

I noticed a big boost in growth after the first night of it, but this is getting ridiculous for GA.

Other project is going to be re-potting this F2 population. I underestimated the germination rate :/

Try to make a test batch of seaweed based fertilizer from old wakame and kombu i already have lying around.

Up plant a couple more seedlings. Got 2 done a few minutes ago.

1 up planting got some Jobes 4-4-2 compost starter with all that fancy bacteria stuff in it. At about $6 for a 4lb bag its worth trying.

Waiting on the rain barrel kit to arrive. The barrel itself is clean and ready.

Check my kimchi i started 3 days ago....its probably ready for the fridge today.

Enjoying the sunny mid 70F temps and i think i will have a steak today.

Got everything potted up into their final containers on Sunday

Glad that's done. Going in for surgery at 7am tomorrow. L4-L5-S1 Lumbar Spinal Fusion and 2 disc replacements (L4/L5, L5/S1). Titanium rods. The whole shabang. All stemming from a 30' fall down a shaft at work a few years ago. Should be out of the hospital by Saturday or Sunday

Wish me luck!
Have a few beers for me; I'll be laid up for a while

Besides picking some laksa leaf and enjoying it in a nice bowl of Singapore Curry noodles i had to try to clone it for an inside pant too. According to what ive ready this is a super simple plant to take cuttings from and get them to root in a jar of water.

We shall see if the info ive read is correct. :D

No plants this year for me after the spider mite situation.  I've got some spicy meals planned throughout the week.  Going all over the world with the cuisines, Middle East, Mexico, North Africa, and Jamaica.  I will try to take pics and post up if they turn out.

Not hot pepper related but I'm going to see Ricky Gervais on Thursday.. super psyched.

Trying to figure out where to place my last few plants. Likely pots, as the in-ground spaces are full.
I gave away a bunch of plants to my wife's coworkers yesterday. I'm surprised - not sure why - how many of these folks jumped on hot peppers.
Trying to find just the right spot to put my new fig trees. I need a mix of sun and shade so the shallow roots don't get blasted.

Hoping for good weather over Memorial Day weekend, although the forecast shows rain gear and adult beverages.

I can confirm beyond a doubt that laksa leaf is simple and easy to "clone" from a cutting. Roots on the first 2 i took are quite large.already after just 4 days in plain water.

Rain barrel kit is installed but i cant say im impressed with the Earthminded DIY kit. The drillbit/hole saw that is included totally sucks. It would barely cut through the plastic barrel without using one of my bits to make a pilot hole first. The flexible attachment hose is super thin. Even with dishsoap lube as recommended its hard to get in the grommets without it collapsing.
