seeds May Be Controversial But, Germination Percent by Supplier

I just updated my records and I planted Trinidad Scorpion and Costeno Amarillo from Beth and all the free seeds she sent me too...here are the results...planting date 27 January 2008.
 
Total Germination Percent by Supplier - 2-16-08

Here is a list of suppliers I bought seeds from and their germination percentages. I have realized now that the problem I had with mold/fungus about 2 weeks ago hurt my germination rate. I sprinkled corn meal on the top of the soil and it killed the mold/fungus but then a hard "crust" formed on top of the soil. That is the only reason I can think of (other than bad seed lots) that kept my germination percent down around 72% overall.

I contacted Seedman yesterday and told him about the poor germination rates of the seeds I ordered from him and he immediately offered to replace the seeds.

I am going to replant 53 seeds today along with 19 other seeds I have received since the first planting.

I hope I have better luck this time. I definitely will not use the domes for the germination trays this time since that is what caused my mold/fungus episode last time...the trays under the domes just were too moist and warm in my opinion...
 
Who is beth that you speak of AJ? As I know as of now I keep getting more and more seeds im like a kid in a candy store I keep looking and looking at different seeds to get and I cant stop. I'm just interested in the trinidad scorpion seeds and I couldnt help but notice that you had gotten them from her. No nagging and its not a problem if there's no more, just curious.
 
I have not been on her site for a while but I remember someone saying she was out of T. Scorpions...

Thanks AJ! Great post! I had about 20% germ rate from seedman and at least a third turned out to be cayenne :( wish I saw your post sooner.
