Meatfreak's 2019 Grow

Hi all, been a while since I've posted something here. I did grow in 2018 but no glog that year as life was to busy as it was. However I made some good progress on my own crosses again and 2019 will be an continuation of my years of work. No clear idea yet which varieties I will grow this year but it will mostly consist of my own ones. To start of this glog I will share some pictures of my 2018 pods.

Past 2 years I haven't had any green plants showing up on my Pimenta Lisa grow out, F7 this year.

Nice to see you back Stefan!
Great shots as always!
I've still some of your seeds in my stash, including some 'vintage' Pimenta Lisa F4 :)

All the best to you and your family for 2019

Good to see you to, Fab! Best to you and fam as well. You growing any peppers this year?

As I said before, life's hectic so photo shots are rare but the seedlings have started to grow faster now so here's some overview from my Chinense (inside). Annuum are in the poly and the test to germinate them there worked really well.

Thank you Stefan!
I've sowed not much by your standards LOL but i'm the bhut realm once more with a couple of funky genetics from the past.
I'll put up a small glog if i'm not too lazy :)
It's still pretty cold for May down here!
Your plants look nice!

Take care

Been a while peeps but wasn't much to show yet. Peppers are in for about 10 days now and seems to have rooted. Still will be a while till I have pods to show but for now, here's this year's setup.

Temps were pretty low for the time of the year until early June so the tomatoes didn't produce much yet, starting to catch up now!

Looks great, Stefan. Good to see peppers in the ground!
Thanks Paul, happy they're in the soil. Always quite the effort to get them in, not my favorite part :P

Stefan you mind the temperatures this weekend your plants might need some extra watering.... summer at last and long may it shine
Don't worry, John. Got it covered but thanks :) That's why I put up the shade cloths for the tomatoes as they suffer from flower drop when exposed to these high temps/sun. Seems to work well as we had a couple of +90F days already. The peppers don't mind luckily, only makes them stronger. Be aware though that you only water in the evening so the soil can dry up a bit. If you water in the morning you have the risk to boil your roots.

Took a while but now it's summer in the Netherlands to.

Been quite a while since the last update but the season has been pretty shitty this year. Everything is a lot later and especially the Chinense. Gonna be a race to get most ripe before end of season :(

One man's trash is another's treasure. All of those pics look good to me. I'm just finally this week picking my first Chinese peppers some have not produced any. I'm hoping my season makes it to November. From what I can see you are doing good.

Looking good Stefan! It seems for most that this season has been a challenge :shh:

I googled Chupetinha Black, had to laugh at the results. Got better results when I searched for Chupetinha Black pepper. ;)

It sure has Scott, luckily I will be able to harvest a decent amount of ripe pods from most of my plants so I have seedstock for the next generations. In the end that's all what matters to me at this moment.

LOL at your search

Glad you are having a measure of success, Stefan. I guess
we're all pretty much in the same boat. Oh well, there's
always next season

Stefan totally agree this hasnt been Europes better season and its going to get worse for me with Brexit

I feel for the throes of pain that Brexit, or lack thereof,
is causing folks in Europe. We were just in Ireland a
couple of weeks ago, and it's a hot topic of discussion,
especially in light of the troubles and border issues in
Ireland. Of course the 'backstop' figured largely in con-
versation with Irish folk.

I hope that you can weather the storm, Stefan, The October 1
date is frightenly close.

From under what rock did Boris Johnson slither?

I've cleared about 60% of my polytunnel and Fall has really kicked in now with low temps and loads of rain. When I got time I will clear out the rest asap, like I said most have a couple of ripe pods.
