Medieval Fair 2017

Was not as much activity as last year, a surprising half the events and people, not a good sign. Still had a good time.

How were the demonstrating arts / crafts?  Don't get me wrong, I love the ladies in slim garb, but what really attracts me to events like this are the hand crafts.  Especially glass blowers.  i think that is amazing.

Glad there was some.  Fairs like this started at universities in the history department, they turned to their art department for merchants.  Now most sell only imported cheap junk.  Just got back from state fair, about the same there.  A wood carver and I think some hand made glass mixed in with imported stuff.  Very, very, very little artistry unless it is in the competition / not for sale section.
