Mediterranean Herbs

Any recommendations for a good potting mix for my mediterranean herbs?
Grit, Perlite or sand?
MPC or Peat moss or both?
Worm castings or other Organic Fertilizer?

Basil, thyme, parsley, oregano, etc I just use plain potting soil, never had any problems. For cilantro/coriander I use a cactus mix.
