Miracle Gro or Dyna Gro 7-9-5?

So glad this subject came up!! been using the MG Tomato fert forever and went to WormsWay yesterday and got a jug of the Grow formula. At 1/2tsp per gallon this stuff should last a while. My plants are full of green pods and if it ever stops raining here I'm gonna start with the DynaGrow!!!

While looking at buying Foliage Pro, I came across two different analysis labels...the one you wrote down and the one that I received. Maybe they changed the formula. There are some things missing in the one I have compared to the list you found.

Me too, mine didn't have boron, chlorine, and the other couple things he showed as well? My label looks same as yours. I just got it from switching after runnin out of gh 3part.

I suspect the elements are in the solution but they no longer list them. Many of the chemicals are added in as chloride or sulfate salts (sources of sulfur and chloride) and the product may be buffered by boric acid/borate which would supply boron. Since they have kept their product a trade secret for so long this may be further protection from reverse engineering since 1 part nutrients are so hard to keep shelf stable. Going to email them to see what is up.

If this thread convinces anybody to try Dyna-Grow 7-9-5 (or if you need more), looks like there's 25% deal on Amazon. Still don't know if that's a "good" price though.

Forgot to mention --- the deal linked above also states that this product is being "discontinued" by the manufacturer. Don't know if that's true, but I find that surprising. I would think this has been a VERY profitable product.

@LHornR Same here. Almost feels like a bait-n-switch. Superthrive has been around for quite awhile. I don't know if both products were made by the same company or if the companies merged. Dunno. I'll give it a try I guess.

Being my first time buy I'm not sure...but I've used it twice so far and all is well.

So Dyna-Gro and ST are owned by parent company Green Garden Products, so the formulas are likely the same. But in 2021 GGP was bought out by Central Garden & Pet, and my guess is they are phasing out Dyna-Gro in favor of ST (consolidation of same product) since they no longer appear on the GGP Brands page.

If it has similar pH buffering properties to the original then it is fine. I would rather see the pro foliage version with the 3:1:2 ratio. I seriously would buy a bunch of that with the discount. That product kept the hydro cannabis fraudsters up at night.
