I love to see new chillies here and there in local markets. Today I yoinked this one:

I am rarely there but when I am I see a lot of cayennes, jalapenos and maaayyybe one habanero from time to time.

Look at those!

Am I wrong or those two brown ones will be chocolates? Or are those unrippen reds...?

And this one, do you know what is this?

If you recognize some varieties in the mix, please, tell me. I've had some grown, like those yellow triangular pointy ones, and didn't know what it was.

Beautiful pictures of peppers.
Thanks for sharing.
They look nice enough to save seeds.
The olive brown looking habanero peppers might be a different variety but could have been the same ones, picked earlier.
That little green pepper 🫑
one most likely is just picked early and could just be underdeveloped with premature seeds.

Probably not as viable
But it has the look of a tiny poblano crossed with something hotter 🧐

What do you plan on doing with the peppers ?

Chocolate peppers begin at dark green and proceed through bronze color to deep brown. You can probably see some of that procession in the bin of douglah picture I posted a while back. The dark green one you're asking about may very well ripen to a chocolate.

Very nice score, I'll say!

Thank you! <3 I don't think I could miss posting something like that here, I think THP is already strongly wired into my brain, it gets riddiculous, I should get help.

I went there with intention of finding peppers for a jelly/jam (without that special sugar, so it is very thin) because 8 small jars I test-did this year are almost all eaten between me, my father and some friends. I wanted to try cayenne taste but this tray just stole my attention and now I don't really know how to divide it xD I did buy some other chillies and bells also, so, I think I can use one or two habs there. It will be hotter than my SRStripey thingy and I think I can approve it... 😂

As for seeds, I think I will germinate some habaneros. :rolleyes: I probably will have too many saplings, like for real, I thought this can't happen this year and was kinda joking about it but well...

Thank you, I should buy more tho 😅

Yea, I think they are chocolates. On your photos they are much darker but I think mine were ripening in really cold temperatures and long after being picked, because they are getting softer at the top. I will leave them for some time. I will try and germinate all three varieties because they are so big and heavy! :shocked:

Ok, so, I did take one bag of cherries out of the freezer two days ago, cooked some vinegar with sugar, added blended peppers and then deseeded cherries and cooked all for a little while. I don't know what I am doing for the most part, so you know.

I like it but I need that pectin sugar to redoo it.

~~~~~~~
And today I took two cayennes which I still had, some bell and one and a half habanero, blended them, added vinevar and canola oil (this oil has so many names!) because that is the only one I had, blended, blended, added cherries, blended, added some cardamon, garlic, sweet pepper powder and few crashed coriander's seeds...
It's nice but it still tastes like apples xd
Nah, I'm not fair, it tastes fruity, most of it apples but it is richer than that. Green bell pepper added some nice touch there, I really like it.
I'm thinking of adding some of my PJ Black Molten powder to it but it would make it too hot for my family buuuu...
