What'd you have for XMas dinner?

We had prime rib with fresh horseradish, snow peas and scalloped potatoes. Mmmmmmm

What was on your menu Christmas Eve dinner?
 
A 20lb bone-in ham, mac-n-cheese for the kids, meatballs, shrimp, bacon wrapped cocktail weenies w/syrup, buffalo chicken dip, pizza pinwheels, cheese plate and bologna plate, veggie plate, mixed marinated olives, BEER. We basically just graze all night.
 
We're doing Christmas dinner tomorrow - chile-rubbed flank steak, some pumpkin casserole recipe my daughter picked up from her boyfriend's mother, stuffed zucchini, and the roasted bacon-wrapped pear with chocolate and raspberry sauces I did for the December Duo Throwdown. Good stuff!

Kept it simple for tonight - blackened catfish and shrimp with veggies on the side. Simple, but yummy.
 
I am making prime rib, twice baked potatoes, fresh green beans with my homemade horseradish cream sauce. For mid-day starters U8 shrimp cocktail, fried oysters and fresh steamed clams made into a clam dip and put in a bread bowl. This was 2 years ago for X-Mas day...

Ours was awesome - the ribs were 3/4 cut off, and they put 4-5 slices of thick cut bacon in the slot & tied it all back up. Holy yum!

@JayT - If you want epic, get a ribeye roast instead - cool it just like a prime rib. Amazing.
 
we had a turkey breast and some gluten free mac an cheese,which is very awesome. we going to the movies today. and thats it on the farm for x-mas!

on a side note my sometimes farm hand brought over some tamales and a card last night for us. that actually made me very happy.
 
As is tradition, I normally would have eaten tamales for Christmas eve. Negative. I just haven't had the dang time and not into it. Fish tacos are whas' happnin'. But not for mrs. blues. She wants mushroom gravy smothered pork chops and roasted garlic mashed tates. I love cooking for my dear sweet wife.
 
What IS prime rib?

It isn't a rib, and we definitely don't eat it in England.
We probably do, but If you went to a butchers and asked for prime rib, he would probably bitch slap you

And ps, usually my family have venison for Christmas

Prime rib = standing rib roast.
 
We had Rotisserie Prime Rib, Twice baked red potatoes, and Aspergrass.

Champagne and hhwiskey were definitely flowing.

Prime Rib Roast/ Standing Rib Roast is where Ribeye steaks are born.

P.S. We are making a FryDad Christmas traditional breakfast casserole.

Red potatoes, Sausage, Cubed up white bread, peperjack cheese, Jalapeños, Bacon crumbles, and yes EGGS.
