So, I saw a reference in another thread to a molcajete. I had never heard the word before in my life. Looked it up, and apparently it is a pestle and mortar... but different. After watching a few videos on youtube, I decided I had to have one. Checked Amazon... $50 with not so great reviews. I decided to check the local Mexican grocery store, and found one for $15. I haven't had a chance to clean/season it, but I am pretty excited to make some homemade salsa. It is out in the car at the moment [I am at work], but I will try to post a pic when I get a chance. Anyone have any tips for cleaning/seasoning? I have seen everything from rice to white bread to the car wash. Also any other general tips/tricks are always appreciated.
