More big Manzanos

Biggest pod-with bad spot was 5.6 oz.-in my hand

2 pods were 3.5 oz +/-

2 pods were 5-5.3 oz.-in my hand

4 pods were between 4.75 and 5 oz each.

Lots of purple on these.
They need ripening, won't get many ripe seeds from them I don't think.
Into the brown paper bag they go...in 3 or 4 days they'll get cut open.

There actually was a bigger pod there but it was real nasty-squished and over ripe.
Not going to buy a $10. lb. pod for seeds and toss out the rest.

These were too expensive but I couldn't resist.
They kept calling out to me...

I also baught some mixed orange, peach and yellow Habs. for $2.00 LB.
$7.00 worth.

Going to keep each Manzano pods seeds separate so I know what one is what until I grow them out.

Those are beautiful Mike!
I hope you bite into one like a big ol apple!
For all of us, that wish we could!

Kevin

They will be swimming with the fishies in a couple days-soft tortilla Fish Tacos.

That purple Apple is a good looker.

Got the ingrediants today.
They won'tlast long around here.
Heidi thinks they are a bunch of Dog toys.Keeps eying the counter they are on...

Beautiful, that one pod with more color truly does look like an apple. Kudos on such awesome pods Smoke.

There is a post from when I got them 3/31/11.
I have to get rid of some mites before I'll try growing the seeds.
