MOREL MUSHROOMS !

nope ! just once a year items and certain parts . makes them worth their weight in gold !  i keep all mine tho . GREEDY       :evil: !   
 
Fresh morels, lucky to have those in your local area, I have never been able to find them fresh here, only dried.  Can only imagine how good they would be.

I wish I could find a supplier for a couple pounds that will 2 day ship to jersey.  I've even contacted sellers on CL out west...no go.       guess my money isnt green enough!

It's on my list of hobbies to get into actually - there are some stores here that sell a range of inoculated timbers with different mushroom spores, but focusing on getting chillies down pat for a year before I diversify further.   Until then i will live vicariously through you good folk posting food porn pics of your latest cooks!

nah , get with my son in law and my sons and have a big cookout , and thats our start up snack !  we got the fall shrooms to get  !     :onfire:
 
I decided to try frying them up without batter this time
just Butter and some Garlic
 

 
 
what didn't get gobbled up as soon as they came out of the pan was served over a Grilled pork chop, with Asparagus, and Currant&Congo Pepper Jelly
