My apologies to Chocolate Habaneros.

From the heart;

Dear Chocolate Habs, I owe you a huge apology. When I started your seeds you were always going to be my back-up player, always my second best. You weren't going to be my hottest, growing next to my "trendy" Douglah's, and Moruga Blends. You weren't going to be awed as the hottest, or the next contender for heat. You were going to be the reliable right-hand man in my arsenal of heat. You were going to be the guy I gifted to my friends to grow.  Well, u totally outdid yourself this year. You produced 2-3 dozen pods per plant, and tasted so smoky-sweet. You grew pods that were huge compared to normal store Orange Habs, and the heat was great, and plentiful. At the end of the season, when I look back on the powders I've made, and the sauces as well, I realize that you were there. All of the time. You smoked better than the rest, You were easier to cut up for the dehydrator, I threw you in a quart of dill pickles, you shined your way through to the top!!! Your dynamics rounded out so many sauces. . . My biggest regret, I'm not growing you next year. Next year is the year of the 7 Pods (red congo, yellow brain strain, white, orange, large yellow, etc), and the White Ghost. I'll miss you, but I'm sure our paths will cross again. . .

This lament brought to you by 4 Roses Bourbon. . .

"Surely, you could find a single unused pot or space and a corner of the lot where the sun shines half the day so that I could rest my roots and show you greatness once again".

                                                                                                                             Chocolate Hab

I have 3 plants going and I really like them. Like you said they produce alot of fruit and the taste is great surely you can find room for them next season.

Your post is akin to telling your best friend how awesome he is and then shoving him off a cliff.  WTH?  Come on! Plant one, at least!! :D

I'm going to try a chocolate hab this year.  At least one plant.

I made the pepper jelly with liquid pectin and just followed the directions but used Chocolate Habs, instead of Jalapenos.

I just found out today that the chocolate habanero seeds I was going to send out for are entirely depleted. So I cant grow them, or I would.
