So I bought a few plants this time instead of trying to grow with seed, I never seem to have any luck. I have a whole room dedicated to growing them. I ordered: Sarracenia purpurea, drosera capensis and drosera spatulata. I will post pictures when they arrive.
Outdoor is ok as long your plant is IN the ground. If you grow your purp in a pot the roots will freeze. The best is a unheated garage, or in the fridg in a bag.

Little over a month ago I split up my Heli plants very aggressively, turned 2 plants into almost 20. I'm happy to say they have all rooted well and are putting out new growth. They don't look like much at the moment but in a few months they will be full of new pitchers and looking dead sexy.
I harvested my own sphagnum moss for re-potting and was pleasantly surprised to see this little round leaf sundew plant pop up.
Man thank you for the quick response! So no promix or anything go kind of hydro with those special rocks? Thing looks to have grabbed a gnat or two already!
