My chile backstory...

Hi everyone! I'm a chilehead who finally got sick of the lousy pepper selection generally available a couple years back and started growing my own. I started with just one in case i had a black thumb, a caribbean red hab and really felt that was all i needed as he always kept me in wonderful little morsels of heat.
Sadly my poor hab was brutally murdered this passed year by horrible little aphids of death (oh but i got them good for that). But one door closes and another opens as i decided to grow a bunch of new varieties (and a descendant of my hab...) now that i know how easy and fun it is to grow peppers.
I always meant to join a forum but never really got around to it, but now i have a question so that kinda forced my hand. I was gonna type my question here but this post somehow got really long so i'll just start a new thread for that. So, check out the 'growing hot peppers' forum for the thrilling conclusion!

Sorry to hear about your first Habanero plant demise, but glad you found THP. Welcome!
I think those monsters gave him a virus b/c he really looked like he was going to make it after i terminated those aphids with extreme prejudice.
Glad to be here tho!

Welcome from Cincinnati. I share your bitter hatred of aphids, though for some reason I never had to deal with them in the garden - only plants I was trying to grow or overwinter upstairs.

I've started goji berry seeds from a dehydrated berry before and they all came up..

Hey GrumpyBear, just wodering how the Goji berry growing is going for you? I've been growing them for a few years but still no berries yet. Always excellent germination on these.
