fermenting My first Butch T Mash

After I made powder with 4 pounds of the Butch T's I got from Sicman, I used the remaining six pounds to make a Butch T mash. Here's pics of the results:

The only other ingredients I used for the mash were 6 cups of 5% White vinegar, and 4 teaspoons of sea salt. They're cooling in my fridge right now.

Right now, I'm looking into buying some 5-ounce Woozy bottles and shrink bands to bottle this stuff. I found a link on another thread on here for a site that sells bottles at a VERY reasonable price (120 bottles and shrink bands for $100, shipping included), so I'll probably go that route.

I've got a good recipe in mind to bottle it with, and I already have all the ingredients :)

Hah! I already have two people at my job wanting to buy some off of me :)

that is a big pool of heat!

maybe ask salsa lady about bottles and srink wrap prices.  she might even have wraps for sale??   but i know she will know where the best deal on that stuff is.
that seems like a good price though,on what you found.

This is better than I could have hoped for!

By the end of my work shift today, I ended up with 3 pre-orders for 2 bottles of hot sauce each (for a total of 6 bottles of sauce, including two bottles for my boss), with two of my coworkers paying outright, and one paying later today. They even threw in the extra amount for shipping, seeing as we all work virtually, so that it wouldn't cut too terribly into my bank account. I also just placed the order for 5-ounce bottles & shrink bands, which should come by the middle of next week. There are two more people very seriously interested in bottles of sauce based on the mash, and a couple more thinking of buying the powder.

Once I get the bottles, I'll do something akin to AlabamaJack's puree for the mash with a couple twists I thought up that ended up working pretty darn well, cook it, bottle it, and then I should be good to go after that. Heck, even my mom is stoked I managed to pull this off.

Lot of heat!
Looking like a good start in the sauce biz
Check out Fillmore Containers. Looks like a 5 oz woozy runs about .45 ea @12 qty, plus 7.50 for 250 bands. shipping is extra but they were reasonable on my order. They have a good variety too.

Once I'm done with these bottles, I'll check them out :)
