glog My first time starting anything under a grow light. Inexperienced, but learning lots and the mistakes I may have made along the way.

I've almost always had a garden of some sort with my family but never been super into it. I used to be out in the garden when I was little up until highschool got too busy. This year 2025 I decided to venture on my own. Now I'm out almost every day looking at my plants. Working nights is hard but gardening seems to keep that stress level down. First time growing peppers.

April 5th: using the double cup method.

April 15th: Some tomatos too. Feeding liquid seaweed from the bottom.

April 28th: Had already started the hardening off process for the 2 big ones.

Just a few days before potting them up.

Not the best setup but I have limited space.

May 10th: I got them potted up after hardening off. Lets see how nearsource soil does this year. Added worm castings and bone meal to the hole. Almost done with my soaker hose drip setup. I need to get some straw.

How big are those bags and is it a final setup?

It's awesome to see that you have decided to do this! Have a great grow!
I'm gonna follow as much as I can these days. Keep the pictures coming.

Yeah, the final spot. The bigger bags are 10gal and the smaller are 5gal. Kind of an experiment to see how good they will grow in each. I didn't account for how much soil I would be buying. Still it's been fun.

For some reason I can't add to the top. It won't let me edit the post up there so I'll post it here. I have my drip system on a .710 hose to the smaller drip lines connected to ring soaker hoses I made. 5 about 6in diameter and 5 8in diameter @ .4gpm for my grow bags. The main spigot is 120psi so I have the regulator infront, the timer takes up to 100 so i have the pressure about 80psi. And its bringing it down to 25psi before going into the main line. Should I add a flow restrictor and where?

Here's a screenshot I took out of some drip irrigation vendor's sales video. I always forget the "order" of things. Hope it helps.

Had the itch to plant some more peppers, just testing for now, a little late from seed i think. I plan on crossing some next year but needed to plant herbs aswell.
I put some experimental peppers in, Old Trapper beef jerky pepper and the Vietnamese chili that I have no idea about.
White moruga scorpion and Red lesya.

Tested with Dripdepot calculator and I have 40gpm out of my system but need 4gpm. Possibly able to fix flow with the ball valve I attached but not sure.

Nice! My hot wax didn't germinate along with the rest this season so I'll look forward to more pics of yours doing well.
