about 6 or 7 I'd say. I'd have to count. I've got plenty extras if you want a spare or two or three. Not that cheap to ship and not sure how they'd do up north, but I've shipped plants before to people who've wanted them. heh. Just have to find a big enough box. 
 
I think... my Goldfinger banana is about to fruit. It's showing signs of wanting to,  but i'm not sure its there yet. I'll know soon enough if it puts out a short leaf. That's the easiest way to tell its going to fruit. For some reason all bananas do this, not sure why. But a leaf that normally would be 6 ft long on a tall banana plant ends up being more like 2 ft. Then the next thing to come out is the flower which holds the bananas as you see above.

P.S: Anyone growing NAR Pepper? I search the THP forum and found nothing. Its a new variety of Judy's for 2018, so I wonder who else is growing it. There is no description on Judy's website for this one. This picture however shows it looking pretty mean. Kind've like a flattened tongue with bumps ect. Wonder what it would eventually be like. All of Judy's peppers are pure evil... tehehe. sorry I borrowed your product name Salsa Lady.

I forget the exact name. I "think" its an amaryllis. not sure though.
 
I planted several varieties, but this is the only one that has actually flowered, to my knowledge. I try to pick up rare and unusual things.

 New caterpillar species to my yard I can't yet identify. Closest approximation I could get was a 'Spinx Moth.' But it likes to eat vines, specifically my morning glories.

We have these Cuban Anoles instead of iguanas. But same problem relatively speaking..

As I've said a lot lately, if you're planted out in containers, the number one thing you can do, is keep your roots cool. Insulate the containers. If you're in soil, lots and lots of mulch. Mulching is a never-ending saga for the serious gardener, by the way. Next, make AACT with substances that have plant growth hormones. (start simple with things like alfalfa, work up to the more exotic) But in any case, don't do the heavy lifting with nutrients. That's just the building blocks of plant food.

 My indoor NAR pepper and Large Malaysian Tabasco weren't doing well for some reason, so I had to plant out earlier than I wanted to. And of course we then got a week or so of rain and a tropical storm. ;). Still alive though.

Last but not least, when I wasn't looking my strawberries decided to fruit. A bit acidic tasting. Any ideas on increasing fruit sweetness?

can someone explain to me briefly what might cause this occurrence in my pepper? This is the only plant I have that is exhibiting this symptom, but i have several of the same variety that are only just getting to this stage.
 
This is a peach Aji. There shouldn't be any purple in it, since I have no purple varieties. I only have two theories to work with. One is that the plant got over stressed somehow, and produced this coloration. It was a re-root that I cut off the main plant and put in water for a few weeks. Not much nutrients happening during this time. The other theory is that at some point prior to my possessing the seeds it got cross bred with a plant that produced this trait.  Normally I don't have much luck producing purple or chocolate anything. I almost always get red orange or yellow.

Welp, Hurricane Irma knocked down my back fence, and I've been putting off effecting repairs on said fence. But for the past week I've been digging holes and pouring at least 130 kilos of concrete. So unfortunately, some (if not all) of my peppers and two of my most valuable banana plants had to go to Landfill heaven so I can repair the fence before this year's hurricane season. I haven't dug up the peppers yet, but seeing as I have no room for them in the yard, I can't save them all. Might be able to keep two if I dig carefully. Trying to re-pot them will not end well. Historically I do not do well with potted plants.

Yeah I actually did have to take them all out. There wasn't enough space to dig. I put in 9 fence posts. I had to remove 3 of my remaining banana species, but I couldn't part with my Pitogo quite yet, so I'm going to try to re-root a cor m. Not sure if it will take. But its just too rare to toss without trying imo. 
 
I also still have my NAR peppers and Large Malaysian Tabasco which survived the digging. So if they get bigger and survive the white flies might grow into something. We'll see.
