My LED pannel!

Heya all I just want to share my new LED pannel thatI made out following Guillo1's guide here on the forums. I had to tweak some details but It worked out very well all the same. It's made out of 74 X 3w LEDS.

looks great man, very cool.
have you thought of maby putting those power supplies in an enclosure? if it were me i would wire a nice 14 awg cord into a terminal block and power both led power supplies and fan power supply from one cord, you could get one of those panel mounted rocker switches too if you wanted.
i say this from experiance...lol, when you have something all sinched tight up with a cord grip and everything shieded from my grubby fingers, i tend to fair better in the long run.
i had an open chasis power supply for some small wattage pump shock me badly like 20 times atleast before i just stopped being lazy and put it in a box.
 
Thx, indeed my pannel is quite 'unfinished', I was too eager to see the lightning results hehe. I'm transplanting outside in about 2 weeks so I'll get some time to finish it the right way. I looked for that kind of switch at my local Canadian tire but didnt find anything good. Also my soldering skills are not very good yet and my solderings prevent me from fitting my 60 degree lenses over my leds. Also I though I couldnt put those fans on a high input voltage, they are curently powered by a 12v dc adapter and they seem to be running very well. The heat sink never gets hotter than 45-55 deg celcius.
 
Bad ass... all of you guys building your own led panels make me jealous.. my soldering skills are pathetic...
perhaps one day in my "free time" i can tackle this... Nice Job!
 
Yea, soldering is a bit of a pita. i never got any good soldering untill i spend some dough on a real 30 watt weller iron. the cheep irons with the crappy tips are so difficult to get by with. i use a hakko fx 888 now... i actually just used it to mod my keybord and couldnt be happer with the results. one thing i found that was the 'eco' solder is way harder to work with, atleast imo... the leaded stuff seems to flow so much better.

theres tons of stuff on youtube reguarding soldering, id start there if your really interested in getting good at soldering, i dont think it would take much just a few hours practice.

obiviously theres about a billion different variations.

if you are using a wall transformer, then obiviously you cannot mount that inside an enclosure. you could if you wanted... buy a 12v open frame type power supply and mount it inside the enclosure with some nylon standoffs. remember to ground it tho.

Would u be so kind as to give us a price breakdown on what your total investment is at the moment?

3W sounds just great. Even the big LED manufacturers barely offer 2W let alone 3W.

And if they do they want so much money.

Keep it up and please show us the finished product.

I already had some old cpu fan that I used for cooling.

As for the instructions I followed Guillo's link right here, diagrams are there also. I plugged mine in serie of 17-20 leds per driver.

I've been running the light 18 hours/day for 3 weeks now and it still runs fine. No heating and no burnt LEDs.

I would say I could light a 3X3 or 4x2 box with that but I am not expert so...

Here is how it looks now with my hydro peppers under ! I think I will have to remove 2 of the 4 plants because they are getting too big for my aquarium.
