Easy for a few of you, impossible for the rest of you - what is the genus of the animal in the picture?

I dont get it,are we to actually guess what type of fish this is or give it a funny name? if its guess what type of fish I would say its in the Sculpin family but thats a guess

Sorry if I am confusing you, but I thought it would be a fun thing on a friday night. I also thought that the question was easy "what is the genus of the animal in the picture?"

I was going for the genus as stated before, you all know that Capsicum is the genus for peppers/chiles (I suppose...) so what is the genus of the fish?

In other words - what kind of fish is it in scientific lingo? Common in aquariums...

YES! That is an Ancistrus! Don't know if the species is temminckii (I probably have a hybrid between dolichopterus and temminckii) but the genus is Ancistrus!
