Need help, sprout become narrow (10 dead because of this)

I already lost 10 sprout in the past few weeks, and this three are still struggling, could anyone give me some idea what cause this?

I think you may not be planting your seeds deep enough, try raising the level of the soil. It looks like the roots are exposed.

I am sure it is not the root (it looks like it is, but it is actually a dried stem)
This is the problem, I don't know why the sprout will become like this, they looks healthy and normal and suddenly the stem (cicled in red) starting to become soft and drying out

It doesn't look like you are keeping the medium overly wet or anything but are the little fellas getting plenty of air circulation?

Maybe just bad soil too. Australian commercial potting mix strikes again. :\ (What brand is it?)

I've had a few of mine go this way too... but nowadays i bury my new seedlings a lot deeper, so that the potting mix is almost up to the first set of leaves, and i haven't had it happen since..which is the same as Mitch has said really.

Try bottom watering as well to keep the top of the soil dry...

yep- damping off for sure- water more thoroughly less often so the surface of the soil doesn't stay wet.
