geeme said:Agree - could be a mix. But basically it seems like a purple variety to me (not black, but a very dark purple.) The purples I've grown start small and green, then go to purple, then when ripe turn red. It's a more "true" red than with non-purple varieties. If you cut one open while it's purple, you'll see the insides are actually green. Once they're fully ripe, they are red both inside and out. Have you cut one open and/or eaten one?
