New Land to Sow!

Hey guys and gals!

Wasn't sure where to post this as yet had to do with growing as well as general socialization.... But I have purchased my first home finally! No more buckets (or not as many!) for growing anymore! I have a nice plot of land that is exposed to the sun all day!

Looking forward to sharing the adventures in my grow log!

Anyone who has any ideas please share!

Thanks!

Aren't you really planting in the ground with raised beds too? Just looks cleaner. I mean raising the bed 6-12" isn't really taking the ground out of the equation lol

NO, you're planting in a raised bed. The ground might come in play if it's not deep and the roots reach the ground. The raised beds looking cleaner is a by product, the reasons to build a raised bed is to control the growing media, keeping the plants from being waterlogged in low areas, keeping MOST weed seeds out, makes it easier to harvest without bending down so much and they warm up sooner in Spring. The bad thing is you need to build the soil and it dries out faster.
