SadisticPeppers

eXtreme Business
I decided to use the peppers I got the other day from JoeMomma to make a sauce. The peppers in there were chocolate habs, yellow fatalii, yellow datil, yellow butch T's, and some red brain strain. I loosely followed AlabamaJack's sauce making, throwing in some 5% white vinegar, agave nectar, and a teaspoon of liquid hickory smoke, and it came out much better than I had expected. Here's the pics:

The taste has a that's a cross between a smoky and sweet citrus flavor to it, and the heat is pretty intense. Regretfully 3.5 jars is all I made of it. Until I move, I just don't have the peppers to make any more sauce, but I posted some pics on Facebook, and I got one guy from my job already asking how much :)

Indeed. My coworker is insisting on paying me for some of the sauce. I wish I had more peppers, but like I said, I'd have to grow some, or buy them off others, and the Reapers I have are still at least 2-3 months away from even starting to flower. That, and as it stands, I wanna save up as much as I can for the move, as well as setting up several raised beds in the backyard.

I just spoke with my coworker, the one who bought the jar of sauce from me, and while he can't eat anything spicy (stomach issues), his wife was raving about how awesome it was. His wife loves spicy food, but is quite picky about what she eats, so the fact she loved the sauce & couldn't eat it fast enough speaks volumes, and she was amazed at how hot it was. He told her that the weakest pepper I put in there were habaneros, but even he was unaware that the peppers I put in there were that much hotter than habs. He told me straight up that I should begin marketing the sauce, and if it would help, he had a ton of mason jars of varying sizes that he had absolutely no use for, and was willing to give me all of them for free. That'd be awesome, especially given that I could definitely use mason jars for when I begin selling my wares at the Farmer's Markets near casa del parentals...

Looks good! And intense, but what is Alabama Jacks ?

AlabamaJack is another member of the forum. He posted a recipe for making some hot sauce/puree about 18 months ago I believe, and I used a very loose remembering of AlabamaJack's recipe for my own sauce :)
