Newbie in Tulsa, Hi All

Hey All, I'm fairly new to superhots and probably need more help than I think I do. Anyone near Tulsa, Ok? I got my hands on about 12 red jolkia and ate one on a dare. I liked it! So, I'm trying to grow some on my own. I got yellow, red and chocolate jolokia sprouted, red t7,s sprouted, brain strain and douglah as well. I'm ordering seeds from Neil for the Butch T's as well, I will probably keep one of those in a pot to keep inside next winter. Oh yeah, and yellow scorpions.

Have I gone crazy and tried too much?

I got to tell you, the first bite of that first jolokia about severed the top of my head, but about thirty seconds into it I had a great sense of almost being high. I assume this is normal, or I'm not. Either way, I'm hooked. I've always enjoyed growing things, this just makes it even better!

Any help from y'all out there would be greatly appreciated and I will return the favors as I'm able.

Thanks everyone in advance,

Dave

Thanks for the greetings all. I dug up my unsprouted seeds today and found one more chocolate jolokia and a white habanero! I planted five weeks ago and was giving up hope on the white habas. None had shown face.

I think I made two mistakes in germination, I put the seeds too deep in the soil and I water them a little too heavy. I read that I shouldn't do this before hand, so being the genius that I am, I overwatered them.

My best success were my 7 pots. Nine out of ten seeds sown! That is if you don't count my jalapenos, they all sprouted and are growing like weeds. Considering they are from a pepper I bought at the grocery store, I'm pretty happy with that. Their mama pod was a great tasting pepper, I hope the kids live up to that.

My wife has been trying to get me on facebook and other such things and I have been fighting technology desperately. I guess I just needed the proper motivation. All hail the mighty pepper!

I'm rambling, aren't I? Well, it's really cool to hear from everybody from all over the place, thanks for taking the time to visit.

Hello Dave, and welcome to THP from SoCal.
Save the planet... it's the only one with peppers.

Thanks for the welcome, has NASA actually ever checked the Mars surface for pepper powder. It looks a lot like jolokia powder to me, maybe that's what killed off life there?

:welcome: from Ohio! Great list of peppers to grow. To answer your question...."Have I gone crazy and tried to much?" nahh...around here your pretty darn normal. :)

Thanks for the welcome and the relative level of sanity you have granted me  .

I believe I have read some of your husband's (Brother, Son?)posts. You all sound very knowledgeable concerning the superhots! I hope You will give me advice when you see a post about me doing something stupid to my poor little peppers.

Thanks again,

Dave
