Newbie Question, Flowers/Pods Dropping On My Reaper .A Concern?

My reaper is really doing great,my best plant and it has a bunch of pics/flowers.But I noticed 2 of the flowers fell off yesterday and today the whole pod looked like it shriveled and fell off when i moved the plant .Is this a concern and what's a fix? I have this in FFOF and we did have a couple of short downpours.

The bees should be taking care of the pollination, right?I have them between two of my wife's plantigrade, tomatoes and other peppers and they are setting like crazy

Give them time, they will pod up when ready. There are several possibilities as far as flower drop is concerned. High temps, overwatering, to much ferts, not enough ferts, fungus/disease, pests etc. All play into these factors. The plants will do their thing when they are ready and when conditioms are right.

The plant is definitely stressed.Like Jon said it'll need time and bud and bloom when mother nature and you provide an ideal environment.Good luck and relax.

What Megahot said.  Here it seems to be night time temperatures that cause flower and even pod drop.  Our high tunnel is way too hot during the day, design flaw will fix for next year.  But at night it is fine.  Fingers crossed when I say we havent had a problem with flowers or pods.  Have learned that Mother Nature has some funky time tables when it comes to peppers.  Fall is always the best harvest for us, but if the weather lines up just right an early summer harvest can be grand too.

Mine blow flowers an pods every season when the temp shoots up to 100°.
Yes mine are shaded and only get about 4 hrs of morning sun, then completly shaded the rest of the day.

Flower drop probable causes:

1. Day temp too high >95F
2. Night temp too low <65F or too high >85F
3. Too much nitrogen fertilizer
4. Too much water
5. Low light levels (reduces fertility).
6. Very low humidity (reduces fertility)
7. Poor air circulation (air circulation contributes to pollination).
8. Lack of pollinating insects.
9. Size of pot
10. Too much mineral in feedwater.
11. Too much grower attention/anxiety.

Probably #11 is true lol

The other would be maybe to much water,it rained very hard 2 short bursts over the weekend. But other then that it might get below 65 at night and the highs are in the 80s but today 90 and tomorrow 93 and it is always humid here.

It is my healthiest plant I have,so I get concerned since its my first grow.

Thanks for the heads up guys and help

Well, night temperatures around here are constantly below that. We will actually have a Temperature drop to around 12C (53F) in a couple of days. The first pods usually drop off here, but at one point they start developing. Even when temperatures during the night fall below 15C.
