Noori's 2011 Grow Op

So I am a new member on THP but this is my second chili growing season. This year I've decided to grow:

5 Korean Chilis
4 Thai Dragons
2 Jalapeno

I started my plants by seed in late March and they have been growing under a CFL since. I live in an apartment, but I'm thinking about moving my plants outside in June.
Last year, I tried growing Bhut Jolokias alongside my other chilis, but the NYC climate wasn't hot enough for long enough and I ended up with only 3 small green Jolokia chilis by the end of the season... :(
Anyway, this year, armed with more experience and knowledge, I'm aiming on high yields. :cool:

please try to have fun with us

the chilis look pretty

please make sure to provide drainage

as them chilis do not like wet feet

sorry if you have drains but the pics do not show any

and they all have a dark (and looks like)wet condition showing

please allow the high water marks i see look like you are flooding and draining?

please also try to bottom water those just to see if they might react favorably

yea thx man that is definitely good advice because my biggest plant has a layer of perlite on the bottom which allows for good drainage, and thats the only one i did that with!

It's a good thing your cat doesn't bother the plants. Last year I grew a few plants indoors and she put a hurting on my pepper plants :(... Kept eating the damn leaves! Then one day she got a big mouth full of toothache plant leaf and she hasn't touched ANY plants since!!! Haha.

Click on the "multiquote" button on each post for each individual needing reply. After that, click on the "Add Reply" at the bottom.

Plants look pretty good but I'd get some more fan wind blowing to see if you can thicken up some of those stems. And/or you and the cat can brush up against them from time to time or give them a friendly flick.... :cool:

So the plants are growing fine. Some new buds.
Should i pinch them off to restrict flower growth? I think i want them conserving energy for more leaf and node production.

my fat cat could care less about my plants as well i had 30 cups open to him he would jsut lay there and be lazy
