Pepper Joe strikes again.. A friend ordered ghost seeds and this is what is growing on the plant
Not a Ghost that was ordered from Pepper Joe Anyone know what this is?

You called it, not a Ghost. I'm seeing maybe a little bit of Hab or Scotch Bonnett in it...
you should contact PJ - he's usually good about sending replacement seeds. Of course that doesn't save this season...

But why bother when it's just another roll of the dice. I'd rather spend $5 elsewhere or trade for open-pollinated that I know will be at least 50% what I asked for.

yea, tried to tell my friend not to order from him... i ended up giving him a ghost plant i started so he at least has some. just sucks he has 3 habanero plants instead of ghost

It always sucks when this sort of thing happens, and with a couple vendors who have been on here (we all know who they are), it was a consistent pattern/issue.
I ordered Carolina reapears and got one seed out of 24 germinate. So I told them and they sent me new seeds. And all were good and germinated now I'm getting pods and they are orange and red habs. Awesome. Good thing I got some seeds from puckerbutt and all the plants are true to form and 6 bucks a pack compared to the $10 bucks from PJ.

Had a similar experience. Germed a "Reaper" seed from PJ about a year and some change ago, and it it looked like a Hab as well 
I just bought some from Buckeye's who's got a contract to grow for Ed, so I know he's cool
