Have you gotten your peppers in ground yet, if you grow there? It has been such a slop fest of rain and muck that I haven't done anything this whole week...until now. I got some peppers and eggplant in pots. Everything is a bit peaked due to all the overcast, which I assume is going to affect them; they're definitely cold hardened, but I don't think they've gotten enough sun despite that I've had them in the GH for a few weeks. I prepped a tomato bed. But I'm going to have to power through the rain this weekend. Hopefully there are breaks here and there...
 
Slop is the correct word. I just went and checked the garden to see if I can till yet...I sunk in an inch. Maybe tomorrow. High winds in the forecast. I think my plants are hardened off...been hiking them in and out for three weeks. I left them in the sun all day today. They're fine. C'mon, dryness!
 
yes, drenched here in SW CT we even had tornado`s nearby a couple of days ago but my plants survived and are doing ok. looks like better weather on the way after this weekend.  :pray:
 
I'm not even home until Sunday, but all my plants are out in their pots in the deck. Here's to hoping they are still alive when I get back.
 
I haven't watered them in almost two weeks given the constant drenching and their current size (small).
 
We'll see how this turns out, but aside from the rains, I don't see any reason they shouldn't be out right now. Temps are warm enough, and I don't have grow lights this time around (started late, and just moved to a place with a deck and a yard).
 
I decided to dig some holes in my clay soil to fill with some decent mix, and almost any time it rains any considerable amount, it floods the hole and the good dirt just floats out.
 
I made the mistake of planting out 25 plants the day before mother's day. Been raining nonstop since then. So far only 1 is dead. Hopefully it will let up soon and they'll be able to grow some.
