seeds Oasis Germination

Hi there has anyone tried to germinate seeds in those green  oasis foam  that they use for flower arranging?

That would not work as it is styorafoam. At least in the USA ours are made of styorafoam.

if you kept it moist and warm i don't know why you couldn't germinate in it.. it's not toxic.. 
 
if the roots got tangled up in oasis it would be really hard to remove them without damaging them though.
