jblo Jun 24, 2013 #1 We've got an expired can of baby formula. Does it have any use as a soil amendment? It's got a fair amount of minerals in it. Just seems a waste to throw a whole can of formula away... I could just dump it in the compost bin too... j

A little reading suggests that it's because dairy smells as it decomposes, right? I've got a 55g barrel that I've converted to a compost bin and it's nearly full so I think I can mix one can of formula in without too much trouble.
