hope it continues to bleed.. i have two plants... one in ground that i lost while plant out but found it.. and one i have in a container for isolation...

will upload more photos later.. yes.. not a stable plant.. but still hella cool....when i get seeds... i will share...

plant in ground is less than 2' but its 3' wide... its a beast!!

very unusual calyx on them , I had heard rumors of the pepper being grown and thought that the name was unusual for a pepper,  does the name imply to the flavor of the pepper or a description of the pod color and shape?

I think Jon just looked at the unique reddish calyx and thought "bubblegum." It isn`t anything to do with the flavor or colour of the pepper.

The pepper was named for its taste.  The creator believed the pepper tasted like bubbleiscios (sp?) bubble gum.  I think more reviewers get heat and pain....but sounds great.  The color and the fact that the calyx stuck and the color bled up to the stem is what really drove this pepper into the forefront.   I think people were like....Bubblegum...sounds interesting...then they saw it.

Wow.  I have a couple of these plants, though not as big and leafy as yours, and no buds yet.  Now I'm wicked excited for it to pod up!

Cool kingdenniz I have looked at a lot of pictures of these with the way the calyx is large and stuck on the pods and running, it is the correct pheno it should start turning red yellow looking when they further ripen the other phenotype has a smaller regular stem calyx on it,, I gess you already know that though!

Great pictures man! wicked plants!  to think I had seed for these and didn't plant this year!  started a few only yesterday as seed is getting a bit old and wanted them to grow well enough to overwinter this year
