on 12 plants I have SEVEN fruits !! :( I need to buy some !!

This heat has prevented my Datil, and Fatalli from setting fruit. This has been the most depressing year EVER for growing chili's!

If any of you have any "extra" I would love to buy enough for a few bottles of sauce!!

Thank you SO very much!!

PS. I also make REALLY cool amulets, bracelets, etc from Bison bone, Deer antler, and I even make the cordage from alpaca wool and hemp! I am always open for trades!

Thank you so much!

We've been having some ridiculous weather here in Illinois too. It prevented some of my plants from flowering as well. Also this drought hasn't helped a damn bit either. We just got 4 inches of rain here in the past couple days though and the weather is supposed to be cooling down for the next week. I expect some explosive growth.....that's what I hope anyway. I'm waiting on a bunch of pods to ripen up....it's taking a hot minute though. Hope things in Kansas pick up for you. It's tough. What's up with these Amulets and Bracelets? Can you PM me about them? Thanks

Hi Kat -
So happy to see more female chilli growers. My family has a cattle ranch in Kansas (luckily not a farm) and I know the weather has been brutal there. Sorry I don't have pods to offer. I would like to add you as a reference as I plan to move back there to help my parents in the next year or so. I could use advice in the transition of my 250+ pepper plants in pots to a new climate. What part of Ks are you in?

It's been a rough summer.... we just lost my father after a long drawn out battle with cancer, moved into a new house, and my daughters dog has had TWO weekend vet emergencies in the last 12 weeks!!!!! (yea, that's cheap!!) *SHEESH* ... http://i73.photobuck...rasco/bone3.jpg

I don't remember the last time we had rain and it's been 100 - 108f for MONTHS! I got almost no fruit set at all! 100% of my superhots are devoid of fruit!

So, if any of you have any peppers to spare (not looking for massive amounts) I would be VERY interested, grateful and willing to pay you. I am looking for fruity hab types that I use for sauce.

Howard, I would certainly be interested in any superhots you have! I am a sucker for anything "habby" !!

3/5 ..... I have almost no pictures of my work, but here are two simple bracelets.

I hand spin alpaca wool then twine it to made the cordage.
I make the pieces from deer antler and bison bone. The bison was killed by a mountain lion back in the 80's .. http://i73.photobuck...rasco/bone2.jpg

Have a great day.... it could always be worse!

I can probably send out some pods (thanks for recommending me Denniz!). I'll check in the morning and let you know what I have...

It might not be the specific varieties you were trying to grow, but I'm sure we can work something out... IF all I have are pods that are ripe right now, I'll send them to you for the cost of shipping - I'm moving on thursday to NC, and will be away from my garden until half way through December!

Katrina, I am really sorry to hear of your Father's passing. My prayers and condolences go out to you. Having to deal with that amongst your dog and the heat....sounds like you need a 2012 redo! Look to the future and keep heading there. The weather should calm down soon enough...and your plants will eventually pod up! BTW your daughter's dog looks like a big lover lol. He's a cutie. Good luck with the pods Katrina!

Hi Katrina

Sorry for your loss. 2011/12 has been a year of loss for me as well. My prayers go out to you and your family.

As for peppers. I have Datils, Fatalis and some Congo Habs blooming now. In florida they should be ready in a few weeks. I can send them out your way as soon as they ripen. I have plenty of Habs already, but they are frozen. I am not sure how that would do in mailing, sounds yuck. and seeds are ruined in them as well.

I do has some air dried (not dehydrator) pods of Aji Caballero (excellent tabasco flavor its a Frutescens) and some super chill type that is really good for flakes / powder i can send your way until the Habs and Bhuts ripen.

Let me know if you want them

Thanks and I hope for a good 2013 for your family

Gabe
