I am overwintering some pepper plants, but I am concerned that this may not be a good idea.
This season in the northeast the tomatoes were hit badly by Late Blight. My peppers were planted right next to the tomatoes. My concern is whether I may reintroduce the Late Blight again next season from my overwintered pepper plants.
Does the late blight spore survive without a host (perhaps it is growing on the peppers, although it is not in full strength)?
Is there any way I can sterilize the pepper plants before I plant them back out?
Does anyone have photos of Late Blight on peppers?
