Paper Lantern

As the title says, I have a mystery pepper growing that was labeled "Paper Lantern". 
 
I expected it to look like these:

But alas it looks like this:

Wow!  Big difference.  There's going to be a big difference in how you can use those pods too, unfortunately.

Had considered that and they do bear resemblance, but when I look at pictures of "Bolivian Rainbow" it is basically any ornamental pepper that has multiple colors. You see white flowers, purple flowers, different leaves, etc.

Tell me about it, I have been holding on to these seeds for a few years and grew out 4 of them out of 41 pepper plants this year.
Pretty major letdown. Do you also think Bolivian Rainbow?

Yeah, that pretty much stinks. It's one thing to have a cross that's reasonably similar; another to grow a very productive food pepper and get an ornamental.  IDK about it being a Bolivian Rainbow.  I don't really grow ornamentals.  It looks a lot like some I've seen.  If not, it's likely something similar and probably might as well be.  I suppose what color(s) it ripens to will tell you more.
 
Hope there's plenty of good stuff in the remaining 37 to get the job done!
