Thanks for the offer of the Peruvian MKT seeds but your generosity has gone before and I am currently growing one from your seed supply
... Flowering nicely ... Just won't set fruit ... Unusual because the other two pubescens var. are. Anyway I am on the wrong side of summer/start of Autumn here so I can't expect too much ... Will be attempting to dig up and overwinter everything ... Will see how I flounder [emoji1] I doubt we'll see much of that!
Since you like the Cabe Gendot, I thought the
Red Rocoto would be your cup o' tea!  I hope
it produces some fruit for you...

Good luck digging up and repotting for OW.
That's a lot of work - be sure to post some
pix of the results!

A few more updates. Almost all but the latest plants
are forking and flowering at this point. Aji Lemon Drop:

This is for the Rickster:

A while ago I showed a post of some little seedlings
I had experimented with by cutting off just below
ground level - they have developed nice roots after
being in water for 2-3 weeks:

Time for a transplant, so I slit Aero Garden sponges
lengthways, and tucked the stem and roots into fully
saturated sponges, sort of like a hot dog.

Then, into the AeroGarden:

For some reason, I cannot get the editor to just
add one of the second photo.

Will update this little experiment periodically.

That's fantastic Paul! I like how you used the Aerogarden sponge to grow out the slip cut from the parent plant once it started roots. I'm gonna remember that for sure!  Your babies are chomping at the bit, and we can't wait to see them set out for the season!

Super looking plants Paul!  Thanks, Scott.
There are some rough edges here and there,
but on the whole, I am pleased with their
progress so far.  I was impressed by those
beauties you are getting ready to put in the
dirt - makes me feel behind the curve

I have to admit it's not my idea, Rick, I've seen some
folk using them to root cuttings, so I figured these cuttings
just had a head start.  I think cutting the slips just below
the soil was also good - the little roots all grew out of the
side of the stems just above the cut, which was slightly
swollen, like a little root crown.  When I took the cuttings
for my cloning experiment in 2012, and cut the stems between
nodes, the roots came out the ends of the stem, sort of like a
Roman Candle.

As for getting the plants out - 10 to 12 weeks away.  These
plants will grow a lot between now and then.

Your raised beds are looking awesome, Rick.  I can't believe
you will have plants in the polytunnel soon.  Good on ya, mate!

Plants are on another level Paul , exceptional growing buddy.  Thanks, Sim.  Hope your weather is improving there.

Okay, friends,

Going to sign off the forum for a short
while as we are going out of town.  Will
post some pic updates after we return.
:metal: Good growin' in the meantime!

Thanks, fellas - we had a great time getting away from Oregon rain

We were gone eight days; couldn't
believe how much plants have grown.

Very nice Paul! I'm gonna see if my in-ground MoA Bonnets can catch up to yours in pots during the MoA challenge Dennis is putting together. Cheers!
I have a feeling that when mine hit the June
slowdown yours will catch up and surpass, Rick!
I'll try to get them in the ground just after May 19th
depending on the weather.  It's a long way to plant-out...

Great looking plants my friend. It's always nice to get away. Glad you had a great time. Mexico?

MOA's look amazing. Beautiful!
The MoA seed stock from John at Trident Chilis is produces
awesome plants, for sure.

Yeah, we flew down to LA and took a 7 day cruise to PV,
Mazatlán and Cabo San Lucas.  Weather was great, and
it was super not to have to do anything but enjoy ourselves

Looking great Paul!! I too am curious where you ventured!
The little F5 cuttings are turning onto nice plants, Tristen.
I feel better now that there are four growing rather than just
one or two, even if the cuttings are lagging behind the
others in a major way. They are going into beverage cups
and dirt  in the next day or two.

Dang mang, if your plants look that good after going away for 8 days, I'm packin' a bag!!
I'll post some update pics in a few minutes - The
growth seems more impressive when one doesn't
look at the plants every day

Right??? Hell, Im packing and ill be back in September...... HAHAHAHA If only growing worked like a showtime rotisserie, Set it and forget it :rofl:That would be awesome!  Although the AeroGarden does come pretty close    ;)
 My neighbor took great care of them.
A few got into the lights before he caught them,
and got some crispy leaves.  Other than that,
everything A-OK    in the garage.  I had to
move the Aji Lemon Drops, Aji Amarillos and
Orange Manzanos out to the greenhouse, both
for space issues, and cooler nights.  I'll throw in
a flouro light for some supplemental photons
during this gray time of year in PNW   :mope:

We are at 73 days since sowing seed, and 9 or less weeks
from the emergence of hooks for the largest plants.

The general scene in the garage    I moved the
Manzanos, Rocotos and Ajis out to the greenhouse,
as I said above, so now there are 22 plants in the garage.

Eight plants on the table:

Four plants on the bench:

Ten plants on the grow shelf:

The tops of the two largest Aji Lemon Drop plants
out in the greenhouse.  They got a couple of growth
tips singed by lights while my neighbor was taking
care of them, but no big deal:

Tristen's cross, F5 - so beautiful.  I am going to start
a dedicated grow log to this pepper in the next week
or so:
